For the last two years, we have been trying to answer a simple question: what does it mean for an organization to change?

For thousands of people, decisions, incentives, and routines to move from one state to another. Again and again, we found that designing a transformation was orders of magnitude easier than understanding what happened once it encountered the organization.

We couldn’t find a technology that gave us a faithful navigation system of the living organism through which change had to move, so we decided to build it ourselves. As humanity’s ability to create change is accelerating faster than the ability of institutions to absorb it, we realize this kind of technology is more urgent than ever.

We intend to spend the life of this lab studying how organizations change and turning what we learn into technology leaders can use. Our mission is to help the world change without flying blind and without losing sight of the aspect that matters most: people.

For as long as organizations are asked to evolve, we will be here to serve.
